15 National welfare organisations in SA have joined forces for the biggest fundraising campaign of all time. Together we represent more than 1 000 local welfare organisations - support them all or choose your favourite one! Starting up in 2013 the first Tekkie Tax campaign was an overwhelming success and raised R2,4 million for the 183 welfare organisations that participated. In 2014 we grew to 286 participating welfare organisations and you - our supporters - raised R4,8 million for us. The 2015 campaign was an even bigger success as you raised R6,5 million for your favourite cause and in 2016 we raised an amazing R8.4 million! This brings the final amount raised until 2016 to R22 million. And we cannot wait to let you know how well the campaign did for 2017!

How did we use your donation for 2016?

SOS Children's Villages: “The Tekkie Tax money went into the running costs of taking care of 6,000 children that are under our care and it will be used towards education costs for these children.”

SAVF: “We spend every cent of our Tekkie Tax donations to better our services and care for the residents in our old age homes”.

Alma School for children with disabilities: “Tekkie Tax helps with salaries for additional class assistants that the Dept of Education don't provide, buying food for the children on our feeding scheme and buying assistive devices for our handicapped learners.

Epilepsy South Africa: “There are an increasing amount of persons with epilepsy requesting support and information. We used the Tekkie Tax donations to look after people with epilepsy and other disabilities in our residential care facilities.”

Imisebeyelanga Services: “We furnished some of our ECD Centres of Excellence with tables and chairs. Tekkie Tax also paid for some of our level 4 and 5 students' ECD training.”
